Tuesday, May 06, 2003 I am falling asleep. Fast. After work Pam and I dashed to this thrift shop for Housing Works . Vogue's editor at large, Andre Leon Talley had picked a few of the items and had done the windows. Jonathan introduced us to him, Pam got photographed (she looked wonderful in one of her offbeat getups). From the store we got bussed to the Housing Works used books shop where Talley read a chapter of his book and answered some questions (a couple of them particularly obnoxious but Talley himself is quite a good storyteller and a likable character, though a tad on the flamboyant side). After our cultural moment we went to this Tibetan restaurant on West Houston. It was closed and we ended up having a not particularly good dinner at Green Papaya. I had been there before and the food was better. And now all I want is to get some sleep. 11:51 PM
